MY USA PLAN

I'll be heading to the USA at the end of September and returning to England around 90 days later just in time for Christmas. The idea came from all of those lovely people at The Goonies 25th Anniversary event in Astoria saying "If ever you're in America again you can always stay with me." The fools! So I will be mostly staying with friends but also staying in hostels in the vicinity of friends and in some cities I'll be totally alone. I'll mainly be utilising Greyhound and Amtrak buses and trains but may have to resort to a couple of internal flights if I get really stuck.

This first map is a revised version of the bottom one. I've stopped the line half way because that's when I'm not sure what the best route will be. The big blue dots represent places I want to go to or somewhere where I have friends, the red dots are where I have a friend I can stay with. I welcome any advice on the best way to continue where the line stops.

The route on this one was a rough join the dots line that I did when I knew the places I'd be visiting.

The big orange dots represent places where I have friends who've offered me a place to stay and the big blue dots are where I have other friends that aren't willing to put up with me invading their homes.
